Melton Waves was opened in 1995 and is proudly managed by Belgravia Leisure on the behalf of Melton Shire Council. Melton Waves has seven swimming pools for you to enjoy, two toddler swimming pools, a seasonal outdoor 50 metre swimming pool, 25 metre indoor lap lane swimming pool, hydrotherapy swimming pool, spa pool and Melton Waves is the only Leisure Centre in Melbourne’s west with a wave pool.
Melton Waves has a light and airy Health and Fitness Club with a fully equipped fitness centre space with weights machines, free weights and cardio machines.
Melton Waves offers over fifty Group Fitness classes every week to pump you up or help you to unwind. Melton Waves has something for everyone.
The centre offers FREE Aquatic membership for people aged 70 years and above as well as providing FREE Seniors classes on a weekly basis. Children under 3 access Aquatic facilities free of charge.

Young children who learn to swim in swim schools, are more confident, smarter and more social than children who don’t swim, according to Professor Robyn Jorgenson who has just completed the early Years Swimming Research Project at Griffith University, Queensland. She says testing and survey results confirmed that children who participate in early years swimming were scoring significantly better at the developmental tests than normal populations.
